 emergency food bars?
does anyone have any experience with the various food bars available? I was planning on buying some MREs but they are both bulky and EXPENSIVE I know MREs a tasty (relatively speaking) and i would like to know how food bars compare seeing as they cost about 1/3 as much and are much more compact. thoughts?

i try to stock "forever foods" rice, mountian house freaze dried stuff, Hormel products things like that.
IMO MRE's are over rated.
However i have hard good things about mainstay rations for GHBs and the like

 Re: emergency food bars?
I stock those types of things as well, Mostly canned though. I trying to come up with something more for a battle pack, or keep one or two in my tac vest, that kind of thing. Something more "open and eat" that i don't have to do any kind of prep or cooking with
